A tribute for your loved one...

Funerals imageFunerals image
As an independent civil celebrant, I understand that saying goodbye to a loved one is a deeply personal and often difficult experience. My goal is to create a ceremony that not only honours the life of the person who has passed but also provides comfort and support to those left behind.

I take the time to get to know your loved one’s story, listen to your memories, and understand what made them truly special. Whether you prefer a traditional service, a celebration of life, or something unique, I am here to guide you with compassion, empathy, and respect.

I offer help with all aspects of the service,
I will welcome you guests and talk about your loved one with hour and warmth and love.
I can write and deliver the eulogy, or help you write something for you to deliver.
I can write or help select a reading, help choose music, and create a thoughtful and genuine tribute with you.
I strive to create a space where grief can be expressed, love can be shared, and healing can begin.

I will visit you at home or meet at a local venue to discuss your needs and help you plan a meaningful farewell.

If you are preparing for your own or a loved ones departure I am happy to come and talk about planning and to hear directly what you want.

If you are looking for a celebrant who will take the time to understand your wishes and help create a heartfelt farewell, I would be honoured to support you during this time.
Funeral Services image
When you lose a loved one, planning a funeral or memorial service can feel overwhelming. My role as a celebrant is to guide and support you through this process, helping to create a ceremony that truly honour's the life and legacy of the person who has passed away.
On the day, you’ll feel held.
The words spoken will sound true — not polished for effect, not sugar-coated, but honest and reflective of the person you’ve lost. You won’t feel pressure to grieve in a particular way or to “get through” anything.
The service will feel like a fitting goodbye. One that allows people to recognise the life lived — with warmth, humour, love, and truth.
This is for families who want a ceremony that truly reflects the person who has died.

What I Offer

Saying Goodbye to a Beloved Pet

If you’re reading this, it’s likely because your heart hurts.
Losing a pet is not “just” losing an animal. It’s losing a companion, a constant presence, a quiet witness to your life. Our pets are family, and when they go, they leave an absence that is felt in a thousand small, everyday moments.

I understand this deeply. I share my life with two Labradors — a chocolate who gently defies the stereotype with her calm, thoughtful nature, and a black Lab whose boundless energy and joyful chaos fills the house and my heart. They are woven into my days, my routines, my sense of home. Loving them and the ones that came before (Charlie and Mowgli) has taught me just how profound the bond between people and their pets can be — and how devastating it is to imagine saying goodbye.

When the time comes to part, having space to honour that love matters.

As a celebrant, I offer gentle, personal pet memorial ceremonies that give you time, permission, and support to say goodbye in a way that feels right for you and for your pet. There is no “correct” way to grieve, and no expectation to be strong or composed. This is simply a space to acknowledge love, loss, and the life you shared.

Your ceremony might be quiet and reflective, or it might be filled with stories, laughter through tears, and memories that bring comfort. We can include poems, music, or small rituals — lighting a candle, planting something living, or scattering ashes somewhere meaningful.

Everything is shaped around you, your pet, and what feels most healing in that moment.
I’m happy to meet you at home, in your garden, or in a place where you and your pet felt peaceful and safe. Together, we’ll create a calm, supportive space where you can remember, cry, smile, and begin to breathe again.

If you are looking for someone who truly understands the love we give our dogs and the grief we feel when they leave us, I would be honoured to walk alongside you at this tender time.
What I Can Support You With
  • A bespoke pet memorial ceremony, written with care and compassion
  • A ceremony that can be secular, spiritual, faith-based, or gently reflective, without pressure or expectation
  • Help choosing readings, music, or symbolic acts that feel comforting rather than overwhelming
  • The freedom to hold the ceremony wherever feels right — at home, in a favourite walking spot, or somewhere full of memories
  • A calm, understanding presence when emotions feel close to the surface
When We Talk, We’ll Gently Explore
  • Your pet’s life, their personality, and the small things that made them them
  • Special memories and moments that still make you smile
  • How you’d like family, children, or other pets to be involved
  • Anything you want to include — or anything you’d rather leave unsaid
There is no rush. No script you have to follow. Just care, kindness, and time to honour a love that mattered.
What We’ll Discuss When We Meet image
To ensure the ceremony is as personal and meaningful as possible, here are some of the subjects we might cover during our meeting:
  • Your loved one’s life story, key milestones, and achievements.
  • Their character, personality, and the things that made them unique.
  • Any special stories or memories you’d like to share?
  • Family traditions, cultural elements, or specific wishes they may have had.
  • Choices for music, readings, poems, or symbolic acts.
  • How you’d like the tone of the ceremony to feel—whether it’s formal, relaxed, uplifting, or a mixture.
  • Any specific people who would like to contribute, such as speaking, reading, or performing a tribute?
We can meet in person at your home or a local venue or connect online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams—whatever feels most comfortable for you.

If you’d like to discuss how I can help create a fitting tribute, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m here to listen, support, and guide you every step of the way

Family and Friends Involvement in Funeral Services
A funeral or memorial service is a chance to come together to honor and celebrate a loved one’s life. I believe that involving family and friends in the ceremony can add a truly personal and heartfelt touch. Whether it’s sharing a memory, reading a poem, or delivering a tribute, these contributions can bring comfort and connection to everyone present.
• Family and friends are welcome to read a poem, share a story, or recite a prayer during the service.

• If speaking publicly feels daunting, I can read a prepared message on their behalf.

• I can help guide loved ones in selecting suitable readings or preparing their contributions if needed.

Order of Service
I also offer to compile a detailed order of service, ensuring the ceremony flows smoothly. Once finalised, I will share this with your chosen funeral director so they can arrange for it to be professionally printed and distributed on the day.

If you’d like to explore how I can help create a meaningful and inclusive ceremony, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
